Late Victorian Snake Brooch gray wool sweater back closure with zipperLarge, fabulous gold filled brooch framed with snakes and ivy leaves circa 1890s. The brooch features a beautiful photo of an older woman, which has been hand painted to bring it to life. The photo is protected by glass and is removable if you prefer to add your own photograph of memento. This could have also been used as a hair brooch. I have seen many brooches like this but none quite so stunning and unique. The snakes are beautifully detailed! +++
